Buddhist courses, Retreats and Projects in 2012
Donations (Dana) for Dharma teachers:
A traditional buddhist principle, which we honor in Bordo, is the conviction that Buddha's teachings can not be counterbalanced by a material value and should be free of charge, and accessible to all who are interested. Therefore the Dharma teachers offer their work without pay. In order to cover their living and teaching costs and finance their further training activities, they are however dependent on voluntary donations at the end of each course. The majority of the teachers in Bordo live exclusively from donations and have no other income.
To help cover the teacher's transportation costs, pay for their translators and for the upkeep of the meditation facilities, the Dharma association of Bordo asks each participant to additionally pay 10 to 15 Euros (according to your income) for each day of the course. Losar - Tibetan New Year

18. - 20 February 2012: starting from 15 o'clock Mahakalapujas in the afternoon
21. February: Sangpuja in the morning, then we will clean the Meditation Hall thoroughly
22. February: at 9 o'clock a Milarepa Puja followed by a festive meal and just enjoying being together.
A Sangpuja will follow on one of the the following days

Project weeks " Shamarpa Apartment“
perhaps even followed by a visit from Shamarpa Rinpoche
 For the spirituellen guide of Bordo, Shamar Rinpoche, and other high Lamas teaching in Bordo, we are finishing the renovations of a small apartment. Skillful and helping hands are very welcome! In the morning and in the evening we meditate together. More information on request.  We are confident that the apartment will be finished as planned by Easter 2012. We hope much that Shamarpa can accept our invitation and bless the new dwelling and Bordo with his presence this coming spring.

„The way to Enlightenment“
Intensive Meditation retreat with Lama Tsony/USA 
We are very excited to once again greet Lama Tsony back to Bordo from the United States! During this Meditation Retreat we will have time to investigate and develop our inherent spiritual qualities: the space and ease of joyful existence, the clarity and understanding of life's priorities, our connectedness with the world and other santient beings.
As we gradually discover these qualities we can more easily overcome those obstacles which obstruct their free development. We can develop gradually the ability to see people as they truly are instead of through our filters and veils. In order to be able to really help, we need this ability. If the mind is clear, then insight follows naturally.
Meditation
In order to find peace, we can tame and quiet the mind. We can achieve this by developing calm abiding meditation and awareness, during which a gentle awareness of non conditional Bodhicitta (the enlightened attitude of mind) emerges. When we have stabilized our calm abiding minds we can become familiar with awareness meditation (Vipassana), gaining insight into the essence of the mind thus advancing towards true wisdom and freeing ourselves of any kind of illusion.
The main source of inspiration for this Retreat is Shamar Rinpoche and his instructions from the comment aries to the practice of mind training, from his book “Lojong -the buddhist way to wisdom and compassion”.
Daily program
In the daily meetings we will explore techniques which help you quiet the mind and open to its own fundamental quality of Goodness and natural clarity. The meditation sessions will be loosened up by walking meditation. We will have time to share our questions and answers, mutually supporting each other to develop a deeper understanding of mind.

Tschenresi Retreat 
with Trehor Lama
Trehor Lama has been coming to Bordo to give this yearly Tschenresi Retreat since 2006, when he was invited by Sharmar Rinpoche. His Retreat is always a highlight of the Dharma season and we look forward to greeting him once more to teach us this special puja practice which develops the compassion of our true nature. During the Tschenresi Retreat Trehor Lama will share the basics of this Buddhist practice and answer our questions. For beginners this retreat with Trehor Lama is a precious opportunity to become acquainted with this particular healing practice. For others this retreat will be a valuable help to deepen their practice. Trehor Lama speaks Tibetan. His teachings will be translated.

Vesak - celebration
The Vesakfest reminds us of the birth, the enlightenment and the Parinirvana of the Buddha. The celebration originated from the school of Theravada Buddhism. Today all Buddhists traditions world wild are committed to mutually celebrating this very important holiday. The Association of Italian Budhhists (Unione Buddhista Italiana) have chosen Bordo to host this year's Vesak celebration during which different buddhist traditions will present its meditations and rituals. It is open to all interested in becoming acquainted with various schools of Buddhism. You are more than welcome to celebrate Vesak with us in 2012. Naturally and freely
Retreat with Lama Künkyab
"The spiritual way" is not to be separated from "our usual daily life". Only through our life's experience can we find the way, and by developing our spiritual practice we create the necessary space for personal advancement. In a relaxed manner we will examine the meeting points between meditation and everyday life. This Retreat offers a mix of meditation instructions, exercises and sharing of personal experiences.
Daily schedule
Daily at 7:15 and at 20:00 participants can join in Communal meditations.
From 10:00 - 12: 00 and in the afternoon from 15:00 - 17: 30 o'clock: course instruction, meditation and sharing. Under the slogan "letting traces of awareness become visible" a Calligraphy class will also be offered in the afternoon at the same time.
This Retreat is for beginners as well as those more experienced in meditation. Families with children are also welcome!
Course language: English with German translation. On the weekend there will be an extra translation for Italian participants as well.
